Other survivors include his mother, Mary Allyce Plunkett; two children, Jason Randall Plunkett (Wendy Lee) and Justyn Thomas Plunkett (Camille Lynn); three siblings, Gaye Spratt, Rusty Plunkett and Lissa Berry; six grandchildren, Randi Lee Clayton, Jason Reed Plunkett, Ragar Thomas Plunkett, Peyton Thomas Plunkett, Quade David Plunkett and Marney Lynn Plunkett; and three great-grandchildren, Elam Douglas Clayton, Edison Noble Clayton and Simon Jason Plunkett.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence J. Plunkett Jr.; one brother, Robbie J. Plunkett; and his grandparents.

Randy was an independent over-the-road trucker, hauling glass, and was currently employed at Nutrien as a custom applicator. He also hauled grain for his boys. Trucking was always his main occupation. Randy enjoyed what he did for a living and was proud of his CB handle: “Goat Roper.”

When Randy wasn’t working, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, team roping, listening to classic country music and anything John Deere. He also loved a good western, with Gunsmoke being one of his favorites. A “neat freak,” Randy was always keeping things neat and tidy.

He was a dedicated family man and was always there for those he cared about. Those who knew Randy knew he had a sweet tooth; he loved white fudge-dipped Oreo cookies. He also loved a delicious ribeye dinner with a big side of mashed potatoes and gravy.

Above all else, Randy enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He will be remembered as a forgiving, loving, hard-working man who was self-motivated.

Randy was a Christian by faith and a member of the Nelsonville Assembly of God.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Nelsonville Assembly of God in Nelsonville, Mo. Pastor Isaiah Jesch will officiate.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.

Pallbearers will be Randi Lee Clayton, Jason Reed Plunkett, Ragar Thomas Plunkett, Peyton Thomas Plunkett, Quade David Plunkett and Marney Lynn Plunkett.
