The PHS varsity softball team saw its season come to an end with a 13-2 loss to Fulton in the Class 3, District 3 semifinals at Orchard Farm High School Thursday.

The victory came on the strength of a tie-breaking three-run rally in the third and the dominant pitching of Kennedy Wilson.
Abbey Redd led off the game with a walk, stole second and scored on Lexi Peuster’s single to center.
The Warriors responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning, but the Lady Panthers took a strong advantage with three runs in the third which started when Redd led off again, this time with a double to the fence in right field.
Tenlee Voss followed with an RBI double and then scored on a second straight single by Peuster, who later scored on a double by Hailey Kroeger.
Winfield scored a run in the third, but it would be the last as Wilson held the Warriors hitless the rest of the way.
