Jeanette Ann (Ronchetto) Pope

Jeanette Ann (Ronchetto) Pope, 86, Palmyra, Mo., passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Born Dec. 26, 1935 in Novinger, Mo., Jeanette was the daughter of the late Joe V. and Norma Virginia (Rock) Ronchetto. On June 19, 1954 in Kirksville, Mo., Jeanette was united in marriage to William “Bill” Pope.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bill; one son, Calvin Lavern Pope and Jennifer Thomas, Palmyra; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Lee and Rusty Jones, LaPlata, Mo.; and Jean Rose and Rusty Kimmel, Elmer, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jenrose Malloy, Abby (Paul) Frerking, Crescent (Eric) Smith, Dallas (Danielle) Roan, Caschelle Smith, Blaine Pope and Bryce Pope; 13 great-grandchildren, Tanylea Malloy, Mazynne Malloy, Ayden Frerking, Nikiah Smith, Beau Smith, Keaton Roan, Amelia Smith, Sofia Smith, Ollie Hinkle, Teagan Pope, Chevelle Pope, Avery Pope and Abigail Pope; one great-great-grandchild, Treylea Couch; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Jo Martin.

Jeanette was a graduate of Novinger High School with the Class of 1953. She loved being a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, cooking and dancing. 

Most of all Jeanette had a great love for her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Jeanette was of the Catholic faith.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Monsignor Marion Makarewicz presiding. Interment will follow at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger.

Pallbearers will be Dallas Roan, Blaine Pope, Bryce Pope, Teagan Pope, Keaton Roan, and Ayden Frerking. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Thomas, Rusty Jones, and Rusty Kimmel.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 23, for one hour before service time.
