Steven Eugene Kreider

Steven Eugene Kreider, 61, Palmyra, Mo., went to be with Jesus at 10:25 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

Steven was born March 31, 1961 in Ironton, Mo. David L. and Ilene (Lantz) Kreider were blessed to add him to their family at a very young age.

Survivors include his mother, Ilene Kreider, Palmyra, Mo.; sisters, Pamela Jane Artman, and husband, Scott, Hadley, Pa.; and Penny Marie Wilson, and husband, James, Palmyra; nieces and nephews, Emma Wilson, St. Louis; Neo Wilson, Palmyra; Kayse McCann and boyfriend, Ashby M., Denver, Colo.; Dakota Campen and husband, Joseph, Roanoke, Ill.; and Landyn Artman and girlfriend, Lauren Turner, Harmonsburg, Pa.; and great-nieces and great-nephews:, Jessika Millirons, Jakson Millirons, Magnolia Campen and Cordelia Campen.

He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Kreider.

Steven was the kind of guy who was loved by everyone. As the old saying goes, “he never met a stranger” and enjoyed helping people out in any way he could. 

Steven drove a truck at Heartland and loved his work with livestock and working on the family farm, as well as Lewis Smith’s farm. 

He was a caring soul with a servant’s heart, and really enjoyed working at the food pantry on Tuesdays and drinking coffee at Hardee’s with his friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 14, at the church.

Friends and family are invited to Steven’s Life Celebration and visitation that will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, Nov. 14, at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra.
