County approves bids to sell trucks

With a light agenda because of the holidays, the Marion County Commission approved the sale of two county dump trucks and signed a letter of support during their meeting last Wednesday.

Marla Meyers signs paperwork Friday making it official as she takes over the Marion County Clerk’s position from Valerie Dornberger who looks on.
Four bids were received on a 2008 International dump truck with Adam Bock’s bid of $9,400 being the winning bid.
Others bidding on that truck were Matt Shade, $7,200; Tim Bridgman, $7,283; and Mark Lovelace, $8,250.
Two bids were received for the 2005 International dump truck with a flatbed.
Dan Patterson’s bid of $7,251 was the winning bid. Also bidding was Shade at $5,001.
In other business, the commissioners signed a letter of support to the investor’s of the Hannibal Lakeside Technology Park to designate it a Missouri Certified Site
In addition, the letter also supports the “marketing and development activities of the business park as a certified site to potential investors as performed by the Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council.”
During a special ceremony on Thursday, Valerie Dornberger, county clerk, swore in her successor, Marla Meyers.
