The city of Palmyra and Palmyra R-I and Marion County R-II school boards have full slates of candidates after the deadline passed last Tuesday to file for the April 4 Municipal Election.
The city of Palmyra has one race for city council in Ward 2 where Jim Church and Steve J. Bland have filed to run to fill the seat being vacated by Andrew Salsman.
There are no other city races with Mayor Rusty Adrian, Brock Fahy, Ward 1 council member, and Pam Behring, Ward 3 council member, all running for re-election.
Eight candidates have filed to fill three seats on the Palmyra R-I School Board including one incumbent, Doug Meyers, along with Amber Gottman, Kevin Hillman, Jeffrey Weaver, Leisa Hinkle, Danielle Heimer, Beau Hicks and Chris Turner.
The Marion County R-II School Board has four candidates running for three seats including Mike Lauber, Ashanti Anderson, Todd Goldinger and Aaron Zook.
