Palmyra’s largest charity fundraiser will be flinging the community into spring in April.

The Flower Children team of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life has announced it will be hosting their 21st annual Spring Fling Saturday, April 29, at the American Legion Hall, Post #174 in Palmyra.  

The popular event includes a social hour at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and live auction at 7:15 p.m.  

The meal, which will be catered by HATS Restaurant, will include an entree choice of  KC strip steak or smothered pork loin.  

Spring Fling offers the public a chance to celebrate those who have survived cancer and those who are currently battling cancer, remember those who have lost their fight to cancer and fight back against a disease that knows no boundaries.  

Spring Fling will have both live and silent auctions featuring over 200 items donated by local and regional individuals and businesses, with something for everyone.  

Auction items will include tickets for the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and NASCAR® XFinity and Cup Series Playoffs races in Kansas City, hand-crafted items and furniture, overnight hotel stays, restaurant and spa gift certificates, auto care products, show tickets and many more items.  

The Flower Children will once again accept major credit cards at this year’s Spring Fling.
