Four Palmyra R-I faculty members were placed on paid leave last week while the school district investigates some questionable emails.
The Palmyra R-I Board of Education met in closed session last Tuesday to discuss the matter, but took no further action at that time.
Superintendent Jason Harper said there are no instances of inappropriate behavior directly with students,
Since the investigation is ongoing, Harper noted there is no definite time on how long the faculty members might be on leave.
“The investigation is fluid so there is no specific timeline,” he said.
As of press time, the school district had no further comment on the matter, including issuing no comment on if the emails came to the attention of the district from an inside or outside source.
