A Palmyra man was flown to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. for treatment of serious injuries resulting from a semi tractor trailer crash at the U.S. 61, Mo. 168 interchange Sunday morning.

Charles R. Bowers of Palmyra was injured when his tractor trailer rig overturned at the U.S. 61, Mo. 168 interchange in Palmyra Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Charles R. Bowers, 52, was injured when his truck overturned while attempting to exit onto Mo. 168 from the northbound lanes of U.S. 61 at 10:50 a.m. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
He was driving a 2015 Mack Conventional tanker truck.
The crash stacked up traffic along the northbound lanes for some time.
