The PHS girls track and field team competed at Jefferson City and Highland this past week.
Palmyra participated along with 17 other teams at the 63rd LickLider Invitational in Jefferson City Saturday.
Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
Candra King, first place in the shot put at 12.43 meters and second place in the discus at 39.1 meters;
Alaina Loman, first place in the pole vault at 3.24 meters.
Tenlee Voss, second place in the 100 meter hurdles at 16.53 and third place in the 300 meter hurdles at 49.28;
Hailey Kroeger, sixth place in the javelin at 30.95 meters;
Chloe Hicks, seventh place in the pentathlon;
the seventh place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Abbey Redd, Voss, Loman and Taytum White at 1:51.89;
the ninth place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Redd, Loman, Bella McBride and White at 53.21;
the 10th place sprint medley relay team of McBride, Sandra Leon, Janie Triplett and Tiffany Neff at 5:31.11.
Other schools participating were Blair Oaks, Capital City, Clinton, East St. Louis, Eldon, Francis Howell, Hannibal, Harrisburg, Helias Catholic, Hickman, Jackson, Jefferson City, Liberty (Wentzville), Poplar Bluff, Rolla, South Callaway and Southern Boone.
The Lady Panthers also competed with 11 other teams at the Jerry Ball Relays hosted by Highland last Tuesday.
Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
King, first place in the shot put at 11.82 meters; and first place in the discus at 35.46 meters;
Voss, first place in the 100 meter hurdles at 16.68;
Redd, first place in the pole vault at 3.20 meters;
the first place 4 x 800 meter relay team at 11:25.57;
Hicks, second place in the high jump at 1.42 meters;
Laurin Sheputis, second place in the 800 meters at 2:38.24;
Loman, second place in the pole vault at 2.88 meters;
the second place 4 x 200 meter relay team at 1:52.30;
Mallory Sublette, third place in the 1600 meters at 6:30.87 and third place in the triple jump at 9.17 meters;
the third place 4 x 400 meter relay team at 4:29.90;
White, fourth place in the 200 meters at 28.10;
Kroeger, sixth place in the javelin at 31.93 meters;
Sarah Kliewer, seventh place in the discus at 24.98 meters;
Neff, eighth place in the 800 meters at 3:11.14;
Ava Weiman, eighth place in the 1600 meters at 7:41.91;
Triplett, eighth place in the high jump at 1.27 meters; and
Lakeyn Smith, ninth place in the javelin at 22.28 meters.
Also competing were teams from Canton, Marion County, Scotland County, Clark County, Highland, Mark Twain, Owensville and Hannibal from Missouri, and Camp Point (Central), Liberty and Mendon-Unity, from Illinois.
