The PHS girls track and field team competed at meets at Montgomery County, Clark County and Brookfield last week.
The Lady Panthers earned five first place finishes at the 25-team Gary Ewing Invitational in Brookfield, Friday.

Finishing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
Candra King, first place in the discus at 128 feet, 7.25 inches and first place in the shot put at 42 feet;
Tenlee Voss, first place in the 100 meter hurdles at 16.85 and first place in the 300 meter hurdles at 49.27;
the first place 4 x 200 meter relay team at 1:53.21;
the second place 4 x 100 meter relay team at 53.63;
Chloe Hicks, third place in the high jump at four feet, 9.75 inches;
Mallory Sublette, fourth place in the 1600 meters at 6:27.15 and eight place in the triple jump at 29 feet, 10.25 inches;
the fifth place 4 x 400 meter relay team at 4:38.80;
Bella McBride, sixth place in the 100 meters at 13.64;
the sixth place 4 x 800 meter relay team at 11:47.77; and
Taytum White, seventh place in the 200 meters at 28.50;
The Lady Panthers participated with seven other teams at the Clark County Relays, Wednesday, which was a make up from earlier in the season due to weather.
Placing in the top 10 from Palmyra were:
King, first place in the discus at 131 feet, 0.5 inches and first place in the shot put at 41 feet, 9.5 inches;
Sublette, first place in the 1600 meters at 6:14.24 and fourth place in the triple jump at 30 feet, nine inches;
Voss, first place in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.10;
Alaina Loman, first place in the pole vault at nine feet, 10 inches;
the first place 4 x 100 meter relay team at 52.81;
McBride, second place in the 100 meters at 14.03;
White, second place in the 200 meters at 28.01;
Laurin Sheputis, third place in the 400 meters at 1:04.96;
Hailey Kroeger, third place in the javelin at 100 feet, 7.5 inches;
the fourth place 4 x 400 meter relay team at 4:46.62;
Sarah Kliewer, sixth place in the discus at 81 feet, 11.75 inches and sixth place in the shot put at 29 feet 8.75 inches;
Janie Triplett, seventh place in the high jump at 4 feet and eighth place in the 800 meters at 3:05.85;
Lakeyn Smith, seventh place in the discus at 76 feet, 5.25 inches and 10th place in the javelin at 74 feet, 7.75 inches;
Sandra Leon, ninth place in the 400 meters at 1:13.38; and
Adyson Dorsey, 10th place in the shot put at 25 feet, two inches.
Also participating were Clark County, South Shelby, Highland, Canton, Kirksville, Monroe City and Keokuk, Iowa.
The Lady Panthers competed with 15 other teams at Monday’s Montgomery County Invitational, which had been postponed earlier in the season due to weather.
Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
King, first place in the discus with a new school record of 36.70 meters and first place in the shot put with personal best 12.15 meters;
Loman, first place in the pole vault with a new school record of 3.04 meters;
the second place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Voss, Loman, McBride and White at 1:52.79;
the second place 4 x 400 meter relay team of Sheputis, Leon, Loman and White at 4:31.66;
Voss, third place in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.33;
Sheputis, fourth place in the 800 meters at 2:56.58;
Hicks, fourth place in the high jump at 1.42 meters;
the fourth place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Loman, Voss, McBride and White at 53.45;
Kroeger, fifth place in the javelin at 29.38 meters;
Bella McBride, sixth place in the 100 meters at 13.76;
Kliewer, seventh place in the discus at a personal best 27.65 meters; and
Triplett, 10th place in the high jump at a personal best 1.32 meters.
