The PHS boys track and fields team competed at Montgomery County, Clark County and Brookfield last week.
The Panthers competed against 24 other teams at the Gary Ewing Invitational in Brookfield, Friday.

Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
Carson Hicks, second place in the high jump at five feet, 10 inches;
Gideon Bogue, fifth place in the 100 meters at 11:83, and fifth place in the 200 meters at 23.76;
Luke Sheppard, fifth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 18.31 and ninth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 47.84;
Jose Juarez, sixth place in the shot put at 44 feet, 6.75 inches; and
Connor Bross, 10th place in the 1600 meters at 5:27.60.
The Panthers participated along with eight other teams at the Clark County Relays, Wednesday.
Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
Sheppard, first place in the 110 meter hurdles at 18.29 and third place in the 300 meter hurdles at 46.47;
Hicks, first place in the high jump at 6 feet, 1.5 inches;
Juarez, first place in the shot put at 44 feet, 6.25 inches;
Bogue, second place in the 100 meters at 11:66 and second place in the 200 meters at 23.45;
Bross, fifth place in the 1600 meters at 5:16.83;
the fifth place 4 x 100 meter relay team at 55.98;
Parker Bier, sixth place in the long jump at 16 feet, 1.75 inches;
Daniel Dames, seventh place in the 400 meters at 56.37; ninth place in the 100 meters at 12.95;
Gage Barnett, seventh place in the shot put at 40 feet;
Landon Jurado, eighth place in the 800 meters at 2:37.93; and
Ethan Redd, ninth place in the javelin at 103 feet, five inches.
Also participating were Clark County, South Shelby, Highland, Canton, Kirksville, Monroe City and Keokuk, Iowa.
The meet was a make-up from earlier in the season due to weather.
Also in a make-up, the Panthers competed with 15 other teams at last Monday’s Montgomery County Invitational.
Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were:
Evan Pennewell, first place in the pole vault with a new school record at 4.10 meters;
Juarez, second place in the shot put at a personal best 13.60 meters;
Bogue, second place in the 100 meters at 11.54;
Sheppard, fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 45.41; and sixth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 18.06; and eighth place in the high jump at 1.73 meters;
Hicks, fifth place in the high jump at 1.42 meters
the fifth place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Dames, Carter Harper, Redd and Hicks at 1:40.29;
the seventh place 4 x 400 meter relay team of Bross, Dames, Harper and Redd at 3:56.07;
Harper, ninth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 48.22;
the ninth place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Bogue, Dames, Hicks and Redd at 48.36;
Bross, 10th place in the 400 meters at 59.28; and
Barnett, 10th place in the shot put at a personal best 11.78 meters.
