R-II girls qualify for sectional track in six events

The Marion County R-II girls and boys track and field teams competed in districts at Glasgow, Saturday.
And they qualified for sectionals in six events by placing in the top four.
Levi Wright qualified in two events, placing second in the 3200 meters at 11:21.51 and fourth place in the 1600 meters at 4:57.29.
Samantha Kindhard moved on to sectionals in the discus by placing second with a throw of 96, feet, five inches.
Caden Scotts took third in the 110 meter hurdles at 18.56; and third in the 300 meters at 43.50.
The boys 4 x 800 meter relay team of Porter Britt, Reo Schluckebier, Wyatt Tuley and Mason Wood took, fourth place at 9:07.04;
Sectionals will be held at South Shelby High School Saturday with the top four qualifying for the state meet in Jefferson City, May 19-20.
Also competing were Atlanta, Bevier, Brashear, Brunswick, Bucklin, Canton, Glasgow, Higbee, Keytesville, Knox County, La Plata, Madison, North Shelby, Northeast (Cairo), Northwestern (Mendon), Paris and Slater.
