Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laurie Lake; sister, Marilyn Snow; brother, Kenneth Lake; brother-in-law, Gary Friedlein; and sister-in-law, Betty Lake.
Jackie loved her work in human resources for both Hannibal Carbide Tools and later Riverview Manufacturing. She especially enjoyed when she was able to include helping groups such as Pinkie Pals and helping to award scholarships to the schools through Hannibal Carbide.
Her outgoing personality helped her shine while teaching first aid and CPR through the Red Cross. Jackie had a contagious laugh and super sense of humor, sure to bring out the laughter in those around her.
Christmas was a favorite time of year as Jackie always put a lot of thought and care into the gifts she gave. She wanted to make sure that everyone felt loved and supported, so no matter what your connection to the family, there was sure to be a gift under the tree.
The annual Labor Day hog roast at the family river camp was another fun family time Jackie loved. The kids and grandkids looked forward to her monkey bread at Christmas, often wanting to have it year-round but Jackie declared it a Christmas tradition (before giving in and making it anyway!)
She enjoyed trips to Colorado, Florida and the Lake of the Ozarks, mainly because it was time together as a family. Her shining example and love for everyone made her the kind of person we all strive to have in our lives. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
