Rodney D. Bross

Survivors include his mother, Betty Bross, Palmyra; brother, Mark Bross (Chris), Palmyra; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Denny Bross, sister, Marsha Ann Bross Riney; and niece, Bailey Bross.

Professionally Rodney worked hard every day in the construction trade.

He enjoyed fishing for bass at Seever Lake, on the Mississippi River, or hit up the re-rig dam at Mark Twain Lake whenever he could find the time. Over the years he played in many billiards leagues as it was his favorite way to pass the time with friends.

Rodney liked to spend a little time in the kitchen baking up a lemon meringue pie or grilling up a steak on the barbecue grill.

If his time was spent indoors then it was a game of Pitch with friends and family. He wasn’t into sports much, but did like to follow the Cardinals and some football.

Rodney had an outgoing personality and loved to joke around quite often, taking life in stride, in the good ole’ Midewestern way.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 15, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Rev. Robert Axton will officiate.

Friends and family are invited to Rodney’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.

Memorials may be made to Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
