Benjamin Fred Ralston, 82, Park Hill, Okla., passed away on June 27, 2023, at the Clarehouse hospice in Tulsa, Okla., following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo., to Ray Ralston and Helen (Sublette) Ralston.
Ben moved to the Park Hill area in 2008 after living several years in Glendale, Ariz. During much of his work life he created drawings for structural steel buildings.
He was a member of the Cherokee Nation and in recent years often took part in Native activities in the Tahlequah area.
Ben was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by a sister, Peggy (Ralston) Nall, Palmyra; and a brother, Neil Ralston, St. Charles, Mo. He also is survived by two sons, Alan Ralston and Ben Ralston Jr., Park Hill; and a daughter, Penny (Ralston) Reese, Glendale.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola (Davis) Ralston; a brother, Larry Ralston; a son, Anthony Ralston; and an infant daughter, Lori Ralston.
A memorial service provided by Cremation Society of Oklahoma will be held Aug. 7, 2023, at 2 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, Okla. 74104.
