The Marion County R-II softball team received the ninth seed in the Class 1, District 5 tournament to be held at LaPlata Oct. 12-17.
The Lady Mustangs will face eighth-seeded Atlanta at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The winner will advance to the quarterfinals and take on top seeded Canton at 3 p.m. Friday.
The other game Thursday has seventh-seeded Knox County playing 10th seeded Scotland County.
