The Marion County R-II softball team’s season came to an end with a 12-11 loss to Atlanta in the quarterfinals of the Class 1, District 5 Tournament in LaPlata last week.
The Lady Mustangs finished with a 5-12 record.
Atlanta went on to lose to top-seeded Canton, 10-0, Friday in the quarterfinals.
Canton was to face fourth-seeded Paris in the semifinals, Monday.
