The United Way of the Mark Twain Area and the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a charcuterie party on Giving Tuesday to celebrate the great work of local non-profit organizations.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
To celebrate Giving Tuesday locally, the United Way and the Hannibal Area Chamber will be bringing the non-profit and business community together to raise awareness of and funds for local non-profit organizations at this event.
Thanks to leadership with the Riedel Foundation, non-profit organizations at the event affiliated with United Way that provide services to clients in Hannibal will have donations received that evening matched.
At the event, there will be a table where attendees can give a donation to a United Way affiliated nonprofit in attendance.
The first $5,000 received at the event will be matched by the Riedel Foundation. Updates regarding the status of remaining matching dollars will be given throughout the event.
Community members are invited to attend the event. It will be held at the Rialto Banquet Hall from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Hannibal. Tickets to attend the event will be available at the door for a fee.
Attendees will be able to come and learn about the various non-profit organizations in the community and the work they do while enjoying charcuterie that has been put together by participating businesses and nonprofits.
Attendees will also be able to vote for the charcuterie display they like best.
Businesses and non-profit organizations that participate in the event providing a charcuterie display will be provided with 10 free tickets.
