Trower Earns Scholarships Through Teen Competition

MEXICO, Mo- Teens from across the state of Missouri competed at the 19th Miss Missouri’s Teen competition in early June. Every delegate received scholarships for college as part of their participation in the scholarship organization.
The Miss Missouri’s Teen class of 2024 includes Miss West County’s Teen Avery Trower. She is the daughter of Mike and Kim Trower of Palmyra. Avery is a student at Palmyra High School. Avery received several awards including a $300 non-finalist scholarship and the Digital Strategist award for $500, which is sponsored by Miss Missouri’s Teen 2012 Shelby Steingraeber. In total, Avery received $800 in scholarships which she can use to further her education.
Avery’s title covers the St. Louis metro area. Since she was crowned this winter, she has attended a variety of service projects and appearances throughout the state, focusing primarily on her service initiative, which is “Don’t Dim Your Sparkle,” an effort focusing on ADHD and anxiety awareness.
The new Miss Missouri’s Teen is Bridget Caldwell of Florissant. Since being crowned, Bridget has been working to establish events for her social impact initiative, “Bridge the Gap between Youth and Heroes.” She has also begun preparations for the national competition to be held later in the year.
The Miss Missouri Scholarship Organization and the Miss Missouri’s Teen Scholarship Program are the top providers of scholarships for females in the state of Missouri. This year, the teen program awarded more than $32,000 in scholarships.
