Chester F. Prisner
Chester F. Prisner, 89, of Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 10:40 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Pastor Gabe Hoener will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to Chester’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
Chester was born November 13, 1934, in Dover, Mo., to Clarence Prisner and Helen White Prisner. He was married to Maxine Prisner in August of 1973, in Taylor, Mo. She preceded him in death November 12, 2017.
Survivors include his Children, David Prisner, Danny Prisner (Kathy), Dawn Berghager (Craig), Debbie Cottrell (Renzie), Cameron Prisner (Holly), Sister, Darlene Spencer, Grandchildren, Haley, Brodie, Hannah, Ben (Abbey), Kimberly (Tyler), Josh, and Hana, Great Grandchildren, Kate, Sam, and Rhett, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Chester was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Sisters Marilyn Schriener, and Linda Marshall, Brothers, Richard Prisner, and Harold Prisner.
Chester served as an Airman 2nd Class in the United States Air Force and was a skilled worker in Assembly & Technician at Harris Broadcast. Known for his infectious humor and loving nature, Chester brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
An avid outdoorsman, Chester’s passion for raising blue healer dogs, horses, and mules, especially his beloved mule Bud and horse Cricket, was well-known. His talent with leather and saddles was unmatched, and he took pride in his affinity for Allis Chambers and International Harvester tractors. Chester’s love for hunting deer, coons, and trap shooting was only matched by his enjoyment of fish fry’s, homemade ice cream, and the classic country tunes of Merle Haggard and George Jones.
Chester will be remembered for his knack for telling the funniest dirty jokes and the most puzzling riddles. He left every conversation with a heartfelt “I Love You,” leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth. His funny, loving, and handy spirit will be deeply missed by all.
Pallbearers will be Danny Prisner, Camerson Prisner, Renzie Cottrell, Craig Berghager, Brodie Berghager, Ben Cottrell, Tyler Martin, and Josh Murphy.
