Driver Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on US 61 Near Taylor

TAYLOR, Mo. — A single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on U.S. 61 at the north split in Taylor resulted in minor injuries to the driver, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. on Jan. 13, when a southbound 2014 Hyundai Sonata traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a road sign, and overturned.
The driver, a 40-year-old man from La Grange, Mo., was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. He sustained minor injuries and was transported by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Robert’s Garage. The incident was investigated by Cpl. Tappendorf of Troop B, with assistance from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Palmyra Fire Department.
No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.
