Do you think there’s no government waste / fraud / incompetency going on? Consider the following that has been discovered:
In the Department of Labor unemployment division:
24,500 people over 115 years old received $59 million in unemployment benefits during the Biden/Harris years.
28,000 people between 1 and 5 years old got $254 million in benefits.
9,700 people with birth dates over 15 years in the future got $69 million in benefits.
Someone with a birthday in 2154 – 129 years from now! – got $41,000.
In the Social Security Administration:
A woman’s name was found who would be 329 years old receiving social security payments!
Approximately 7 MILLION people were listed as “alive” but over 120 years old!
400 thousand security security identities were stolen, many sold to and used by illegal immigrants.
Between 2021 and 2024, a whopping 2.1 million SS numbers were issued to “non-citizens.”
You have to wonder why politicians, mostly democrats, complain so loud and long about how Social Security is going to go “bankrupt.” The fact is if there was more responsibility and accountability in the SSA, the benefits might be a lot more, and people who have lost spouses might receive a percentage of their social security instead of a lousy $255 one-time payment. Same goes for other government departments. Taxpayers are bearing the cost while politicians become wealthy.
MSNBC reported in February the SSA made $72 Billion in improper payments since 2015. $27 billion has yet to be recovered.
And as has been found in multiple government departments, the computer software is woefully old and outdated. The IRS “modernization project” started in 1995, but isn’t yet complete. The records of retired federal employees was found to be kept in a “remodeled” limestone cave at Boyers, Pa., and are still being processed by hand. The Office of Personnel Management has done it that way since 1960.
What I find disconcerting is when I call a United States Federal Government office, and I get someone who can barely speak English.
