Get ready for the Annual Flag Day Celebration!! The Palmyra Chamber sponsored event will be held Saturday, June 14. The festivities will begin with the parade that will proceed down Main Street from the Palmyra High School to the Courthouse beginning at 10 am. No registration necessary for parade entries, just show up at the High School around 9:30 to line up. Businesses, organizations, clubs and individuals are all welcome to participate in the parade.
Local native and veteran Shelby Pugh will be the Flag Day Parade Grand Marshall.
The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be helping with the flag raising and doing a flag folding ceremony at the Courthouse after the parade. Special patriotic music will be provided by Gene Wharton.
