HANNIBAL, MO — Gabriella “Ella” Aguilar, originally from Texas and currently residing in Hannibal, MO, recently celebrated her graduation from the University of Missouri. Ella earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, graduating cum laude on May 17, 2025.
During her time at Mizzou, Ella was actively involved in campus life and held several leadership positions. She served as President of the League of Legends Club, Secretary of the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Fraternity, and Executive Leader of Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity. Balancing academics and extracurricular activities, she consistently demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to her field of study.
In addition to her studies, Ella gained professional experience as a reporter for The Palmyra Spectator, where she continues to contribute to the local community through journalism. Combining her academic training and real-world experience, Ella plans to continue her work at The Spectator while pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) online through the University of Missouri.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support I’ve received from my family, friends, professors, and coworkers at The Spectator,” said Ella. “This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and I’m excited to continue growing personally and professionally.”
Family, friends, and colleagues joined in celebrating Ella’s accomplishments, recognizing her dedication and hard work throughout her college career.
