Florida Man Injured in Highway 61 Crash North of Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Fort Myers Beach, Florida man was injured Friday afternoon, June 27, in a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 61 at Route W, approximately three miles north of Hannibal.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 12:55 p.m. when a westbound 2016 Ford F-350, driven by a 32-year-old man from Canton, failed to yield and collided with a southbound 2017 Cadillac Escalade.
The driver of the Escalade, a 77-year-old male from Fort Myers Beach, sustained minor injuries despite wearing a seatbelt. He was transported by Marion County EMS to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
The Cadillac sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Scott’s Towing. The Ford F-350 sustained moderate damage but was driven from the scene.
Cpl. Leftwich #862 investigated the crash, with assistance from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Hannibal Rural Fire Department.
