Three Resignations Accepted at Palmyra R-1 Board Special Session

PALMYRA, Mo. — The Palmyra R-1 Board of Education accepted three staff resignations during a special session held Monday, Nov. 24.

The board met in closed session at 4:30 p.m. and approved the resignation of Ariel Vaupel, middle school computer teacher, effective Nov. 25. The board also accepted the resignation of Brianna Gingerich, middle and high school band and choir teacher, effective at the end of the school year.

In addition, the board approved the resignation of Aaron Drebes as a full-time bus driver and appointed him as a substitute driver.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the district boardroom. The board’s annual retreat will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Holiday Inn Express, 120 Shinn Lane in Hannibal.
