Palmyra Panther Boys Claim Second at Monroe City Tournament

Monroe City outscored Palmyra 18-5 in the fourth quarter of the December 12, 2025 Boys Championship game of the 101st Annual Monroe City Tournament for a 49-30 win over Palmyra. The Panthers outscored Palmyra in every quarter except the first.

The Panthers jumped out to a 9-5 lead after the opening eight minutes. Monroe City outscored Palmyra 15-8 in the second period for a 20-17 halftime lead. The host Panthers held a 31-25 lead after three quarters.

Wyatt DeGrave led all scorers with 31 Monroe City points. DeGrave slam dunked the ball during the second half. Monroe City closed on their 18-5 run for the win. Cole Hays was the next high Monroe City scorer with six points.

Raeson Miller led Palmyra with 14 points. Luke Sheppard put in nine Palmyra points. Kason Augspurg was next in line with five points.
