Mary Susan “Suzy” Taylor, 65, of Palmyra, MO, passed away at 1:27 PM, Wednesday,
April 22, 2026, at her home in Palmyra, MO.
In honor of Suzy’s wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO.
Suzy was born December 24, 1960, to Daniel and Carolyn Koeppel Taylor.Survivors include her sister, Deborah (Dick) Steward of Jefferson City, MO, her brothers, Joe (Ellen) of Palmyra, MO, and Rob (Melissa) of Wheatland, WY.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Karen Houston, and nephews, Sam
Houston and Daniel Steward.
Suzy was a 1978 graduate of Palmyra High School. She enjoyed antiquing and spending time in antique stores, loved flower gardening, and appreciated the beauty of simple living. Suzy never wanted to impose on anyone and was known for her nurturing spirit, loyalty, and deep appreciation for her friends.
She was a devoted pet owner who dearly loved her cat and dog. Her faith was important to her; she was a faithful member of the Madison Park Ladies Bible Study Group and enjoyed listening to Christian radio. Suzy was a valued and much-loved volunteer at the Palmyra Nutrition Center and selflessly served as caregiver to her mother in her later
years.
Suzy will be remembered for her quiet generosity, compassion, and unwavering care for those she loved.
Suzy was a member of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, IL.
