Marion County R-II Students Recognized for Awards, Scholarships

Marion County R-II students were recognized for academic, athletic, FFA, service and scholarship achievements during the 2025-26 school year.

Senior honors included Wyatt Tuley as valedictorian and Nathan Wright as salutatorian. Summa cum laude graduates were Andrew Corey, Tuley, Anthony Walker, and Wright. Colton Swisher was recognized magna cum laude, while Abbigail Corey and Mackenzie VanOrder earned cum laude honors.

High school students with perfect attendance were Jesse Corey, Carter Crook, Jack Cunningham, Gavin Handy, Joshua Kelso, Bradyn Lewis, Anna Luckett, DylanMcFall, Jaren Nick, Keller O’Bryan, Isaac Ray, Tyler Rouse, Summer Tindell, Tuley, Elisabeth Wright and Nathan Wright.

Students earning A honor roll recognition for all three quarters were seventh-graders Sawyer Garner, Elizabeth Morris, Gage Ragar, Weston Tuley and Elisabeth Wright; eighth-graders Tatum Billman, Jewel McPike, Keller O’Bryan, Kinzleigh Schaefer, Anderson Stewart and Saylor Wood; ninth-graders Matty Cunningham, Jaren Nick, Julia Wood and Abigail Wright; 10th-graders Alivia Anderson, Alyssa Byers, Ella Dougherty, Nicholas Lauber, Sophia Martin, Kaleigh Schaefer and Summer Tindell; and 12th-graders Maya Bock, Abbigail Corey, AndrewCorey, Kalyn Dowell, Kennedy Hathaway, Mylee Myers, KaraSmith, Colton Swisher, Wyatt Tuley, MackenzieVanOrder, Anthony Walker and Nathan Wright.

B honor roll students for all three quarters were seventh-graders Jalynn Brown, Daniel Drebes, Bradyn Lewis and Riley Stumb; eighth-graders Carter Crook and Isaac Ray; ninth-graders Anna Luckett and Caroline Moorman; 10th-graders Desirea Boden, Hailyn Morris and Kayla Smith; 11th-graders Woodrow Beaver, Cooper Begley,Aspen Cheney, Pearl Cunningham, Wyatt Donath and Jara Worrell; and 12th-graders Brayden Anderson, Dylan McFall, Alexia Morris, Tyler Rouse and Tyler Schimming.

High school academic awards included Abbie Wright, Outstanding English 1 Student and biology; SummerWilson, Outstanding English 2 Student; Jada Worrell, Outstanding English 3 Student and earth science; Anthony Walker, Outstanding English 4 Student; Matty Cunningham, Caroline Moorman and Jaren Nick, ELA 1 Academic Excellence; Alivia Anderson, Alyssa Byers, Ella Dougherty, Nick Lauber, Sophia Martin and Kaleigh Schaefer, ELA 2 Academic Excellence; Lizzy Dominguez, Most Improved ELA Student; Wyatt Tuley, advanced biology; Mackenzie VanOrder, chemistry; Summer Tindell, physical science; Gage Ragar, seventh-grade junior high ELA; and Anderson Stewart, eighth-grade junior high ELA.

Athletic awards went to Kennedy Hathaway, softball Best Offensive Player, varsity track Most Points Girls and Girl Athlete of the Year; Abbigail Wright, softball Best Defensive Player; Matty Cunningham, Sophia Martin and Ella Dougherty, cross country Academic All-State; Aylah Pollard, Girls Varsity Basketball Offensive Player of theYear; Alivia Anderson, Girls Varsity Basketball Defensive Player of theYear; Paden Olson and Nathan Wright, baseball “300” Club; Nathan Wright and Kara Smith, Sportsmanship Excellence Award; Paden Olson, Boy Athlete of the Year; and Ashanti Anderson, Fan of the Year.

Key Club service hour awards went to Kara Smith, first; Nick Lauber, second; and Josh Kelso, third.

Elementary students with perfect attendance were Elliot Britt, NylaCrane, Henlee Hudson, Jaxtyn Jacobson, Sara Luckett, Rubilynn McLeod, A’Kylah Motto, Jo-Ane Muller, Kimber O’Bryan, Kohl O’Bryan, Simon Plunkett, Chase Ragar, Cutter Spratt, Paige Tuley and Sirena White.

Elementary math awards went to Logan Stephens, third-grade Top Math; William Gerding, third-grade Most Improved in Math; Jasper Syrcle, fourth-grade Top Math; Chase Ragar, fourth-grade Most Improved in Math; Matthew Beaver, fifth-grade Top Math; Henlee Hudson, fifth-grade Most Improved in Math; Tobiah Jesch, sixth-grade Top Math; and Elliot Britt, sixth-grade Most Improved in Math.

Elementary ELA awards went to Norah Whipple, third-grade Outstanding Reader Achievement and Outstanding Writer Achievement; Esther Godfrey and Rachel Beaver, third-grade Most Improved; Kohl O’Bryan, fourth-grade Reading Award; AmeliaPenn, fourth-grade Spelling Award; Melani Dean, fourth-grade Writing Award; Remy Jensen and Chase Ragar, fourth-grade Most Growth; Rose Lauber, fifth-grade Outstanding Reader Achievement and Outstanding Writer Achievement; Colette Crane, fifth-grade Most Improved; Tobiah Jesch, sixth-grade Reading Award; Avery Wood, sixth-grade Writing Award; and Kimber O’Bryan and Paige Tuley, sixth-grade Most Growth.

Science and social studies awards went to Waylon Tuley, third-grade science; Esther Godfrey, third-grade social studies; Amelia Penn, fourth-grade science; Kohl O’Bryan, fourth-grade social studies; Mianell Muller, fifth-grade science; Rose Lauber, fifth-grade social studies; and Tobiah Jesch, sixth-grade science and social studies.

FFA awards included Bradyn Lewis, trapshooting Most Improved; Woodrow Beaver and Andrew Corey, “Straight25” trapshooting recognition; AndrewCorey, Best Average of the Season Awarda nd State FFA Degree; Kalyn Dowell, second place at districts in the Missouri Pet Breeders Association division of FFA Fall Public Speaking; Abigail Wright, third place at districts in Missouri Teach Agriculture; Colton Swisher, State FFA Degree; Kinzleigh Schaefer, Star Discovery Member; Matty Cunningham, Star Greenhand Award; Jack Cunningham, Star Chapter Award; and Kristen Olson, Honorary FFA Member. The first official members of the Marion County Middle School FFA Chapter were Bradyn Lewis, Kinzleigh Schaefer, JT Smith, Anderson Stewart, Weston Tuley, Saylor Wood and Elisabeth Wright.
