Juvenile Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash
HANNIBAL — A 15-year-old Virginia juvenile suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 west of Hannibal.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 3:20 p.m. June 4 on U.S. 36, three miles west of Hannibal. The patrol reported
that a northbound 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix traveled into the path of an eastbound 2000 Volvo VNL.
A 15-year-old male passenger in the Pontiac, from Rural Retreat, Va., was transported by Marion County EMS to Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The patrol report indicated he was wearing a safety device.
The Pontiac was driven by a 23-year-old Wytheville, Va., man. The Volvo was driven by a 53-year-old Shelbyville man.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices, according to the report.
The Pontiac sustained extensive damage and was towed by Heartland
Towing. The Volvo sustained moderate damage and was towed by Roberts Garage.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Johnson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. CVE Arndt and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted
at the scene.
