The annual Taste of Palmyra got underway with the traditional trunk or treat parade, which this year was held at the courthouse square. The line of costumed children stretched from Lafayatte Street to Main Cross and beyond before the parade started precisely at 5 p.m. Main Street downtown was again filled with food, craft and game booths, live entertainment and a car show, and the crowd was large thanks in part to sunny skies. Last year’s event was successful, but was hit with windy and cold conditions. Taste of Palmyra is organized by the Palmyra Chamber of Commerce.
