Joann M. Wiegand, 85, of Taylor, MO, passed away at 3:25 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Sunset Home in Quincy, IL.

 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Taylor, MO. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Taylor, MO.

 Friends and Family are invited to Joann’s visitation that will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, May 23, 2025, at the church.

 Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO.

 Joann was born March 4, 1940, in Quincy, IL, to George Hoerr and Elizabeth Frieden Hoerr. She was married to Marvin Wiegand on July 2, 1961, in Taylor, MO. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2021.

 Other survivors include her children, Steve (Anne) Wiegand, Mark (Lisa) Wiegand, Philip (Lori) Wiegand, daughter-in-Law, Bobbi Wiegand, grandchildren, Ben (Sarah) Runser, Lucas Wiegand, Logan Wiegand, Olivia Wiegand, Brandon Neisen, Austin (Kayla) Wiegand, Evan Wiegand, Lawson Wiegand, Landon Wiegand, great grandchildren, Nathan Runser, Audrey Runser, Emma Runser, and Kaleb Wiegand.

 Joann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dan Wiegand, and brother, Billy Hoerr.

 Joann was a cherished soul, known for her warmth and unwavering kindness that touched everyone she met. A true partner in both life and labor on the family farm, she was always there taking lunch to the field, getting parts, or whatever was needed to help keep the farm running smoothly. Joann lived a simple life, she was quiet, laid back but kind, nice and always made everyone around her feel good. She served the Lord and her Family, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

 Joann’s kitchen was often filled with the aroma of chocolate chip cookies, a testament to her love of baking and the joy she found in sharing with family and friends, she was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals and loved to shop whenever she had the chance.

 Joann’s resilience shone brightly as she restored the woodwork in her home after the flood of ’93, a symbol of her unwavering dedication to her family’s heritage. Her life was a portrait of quiet contentment, from her vegetable garden and pristine lawn to days spent in the Ozarks or Florida.

 Joann’s legacy is one of unwavering love, service to the Lord, and the simple, profound happiness found in life’s everyday moments. Her family, the cornerstone of her existence, will forever cherish the blessings of her kind and gentle spirit.

 Joann was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Taylor, MO.

 Pallbearers will be Joann’s grandchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Church.
