Five Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Center, Missouri

CENTER, Mo. — A Hannibal man and four passengers, including three children, were injured in a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday afternoon in Ralls County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Route H, two miles north of Center. A 2006 Ford Escape driven northbound by a 62-year-old man from Hannibal ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch, Trooper Hummel of Troop B reported.
All five occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were transported by Ralls County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The driver and a 44-year-old female passenger from Fulton suffered minor injuries. A 20-year-old woman, also from Fulton, and an 11-year-old girl from Hannibal sustained moderate injuries. A 9-year-old boy from Fulton had minor injuries, authorities said.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Roberts Wrecker. The crash remains under investigation. The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, Center Fire Department, and emergency medical personnel assisted at the scene.
