Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Mary Alyce Plunkett.
Rhonda lived a life rooted in hard work and simple joys. She was employed with Great River Management, where she managed apartments and took pride in her responsibilities. Raised on a farm, Rhonda learned the value of dedication early on, helping with fieldwork, delivering meals to the fields, and assisting with moving equipment whenever needed. She was a very active member of Eastern Star when she was young.
She enjoyed the freedom of the open road, especially riding Harleys and taking motorcycle trips out west. At home, she found comfort in sewing dish towels, tending to her flower gardens, reading, and playing pitch. Rhonda was known for being straightforward and a bit stubborn, yet deeply caring in her own steady way.
Family meant everything to her, and she followed all of her grandchildren’s activities. She loved sharing a good meal with others and had a sweet tooth, especially for homemade turtles, paired with a Diet Pepsi. With old country music filling the room— Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, and the sounds Elvis—Rhonda lived simply, wanting little but giving much through her presence, loyalty, and love.
Rhonda was a Christian by faith and was a member of the Nelsonville Assembly of God.
Memorials may be made to the Nelsonville Assembly of God Church Church.
Pallbearers will be Randi Lee Clayton, Jason Reed Plunkett, Ragar Thomas Plunkett, Peyton Thomas Plunkett, Quade David Plunkett and Marney Lynn Plunkett.
