PHS Science Olympiad Competes in Regional Event

The Palmyra High School Science Olympiad team attended the Northeast Regional competition at Truman State University on Saturday, February 28th .

Ten PHS students competed in a total of 19 scientific laboratory-based, construction-based, or test-taking events. The team placed fifth overall and earned the opportunity to compete at the state tournament at University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO on April 18, 2026.

Event awards were earned by the following team members:

1st Place:

• Astronomy: Livia Bross, Marci Bross

• Dynamic Planet: Livia Bross, Mea Heimer

• Helicopter: Livia Bross, Cayley Duppong

2nd Place:

• Boomilever: Livia Bross, Eli Schneider

• Water Quality: Cayley Duppong, Miranda Wise

3rd Place:

• Chem Lab: Addy Knochel, Eli Schneider

• Forensics: Addy Knochel, Levi Miller

• Hovercraft: Addy Knochel, Eli Schneider

• Materials Science: Levi Miller

4th Place:

• Circuit Lab: Miranda Wise

5th Place:

• Anatomy & Physiology: Livia Bross, Katie Tanner

• Bungee Drop: Cayley Duppong, Addy Knochel

• Disease Detectives: Aubrey Bier, Katie Tanner
