Quincy Woman Injured in Crash East of Taylor
TAYLOR — A Quincy, Ill., woman suffered moderate injuries Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 24 east of Taylor.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 8:42 a.m. June 3 on U.S. 24, five miles east of Taylor. The patrol reported that
a southbound 2019 Kia Soul failed to yield and was struck by a westbound 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Kia was driven by a 32-year-old Quincy woman. She was transported by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with moderate injuries. The patrol report indicated she was wearing a safety device.
The Jeep was driven by a 55-year-old Fowler, Ill., woman. The report indicated she was also wearing a safety device. No injuries were listed for the Jeep driver.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. The Kia was towed from the scene by Towing Solutions, and the Jeep was towed by Peter’s Autobody.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Hummel of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Palmyra Fire
Department assisted at the scene.
