Hannibal Regional Wound Care Center to Host Open House During Wound Care Awareness Month

Chronic wounds affect an estimated 11 million people in the United States, and the incidence is expected to increase by approximately two percent annually over the next decade.
An aging population and rising rates of conditions such as diabetes, obesity and the late effects of radiation therapy continue to contribute to this growing healthcare concern.
In recognition of Wound Care Awareness Month, Hannibal Regional Wound Care Center
will host a Wound Care Open House designed to educate patients, caregivers and individuals who may be at risk for developing chronic wounds due to illness or disease.
A variety of informational booths will be available, and healthcare professionals will be on hand to answer questions and share educational information. This event is a great opportunity for participants to learn about wound care resources and discover how specialized wound care services can support healing and improve quality of life.

The Wound Care Open House will take place on June 23, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm in the Hannibal Conference Center, located just inside Hannibal Regional Medical Group.
