Taylor News

Man, it was a very extremely hot week this past week. Temps were in the upper 90’s and heat index was in the 100’s.
Very unbearable for most. Hopefully this upcoming week will be cooler. I did not think I would be saying this but, we could use some rain. It is crazy how the corn has shot up and some of it is already tasseling.
Most of the farmers have their wheat out, yields were pretty good, and there has been a bunch of straw baled in the local area. It was so exciting to hear that the Taste Freeze opened up in Palmyra. It is located between CO-OP and Panther Mart. Hours are Monday-Thursday 2-9 PM, Friday and Saturday 2-10 PM and Closed on Sunday’s. I hear they have been extra busy with the warm temps and everyone was excited to
hear the Taste Freeze reopened.

Friday evening Mom and Dad ( Jim and Jane Church), Aunt Judy Million, Marica and Mike Waters and I enjoyed meeting in Quincy and eating at Gem City Pizza. I participated in the Hannibal Parade on the 4th of July by walking with the Marion County Republican Central
Committee float. Although it was pretty hot that day, we all enjoyed the walk and being in the parade and supporting the Mark Twain Days that took place over the past week. I was hot and tired by the time I got home that day, I stayed in and watched the fireworks on TV, that was broadcasted from Nashville, they put on quiet a display of fireworks for America’s 250th birthday.
Please say a lot of prayers for our little gal, LillyJean Roberts, who we have all been praying for. The doctors have informed the parents, Austin and Courtney Roberts, that there are no more treatments or
anything else they can do for LillyJean. So, the parents along with the doctors, they have decided to stop treatment and just keep LillyJean as
comfortable as they can with pain meds. So, PLEASE PRAY!
