Who will be this year’s Palmyra Citizen of the Year, Educator of the Year and Volunteer of the Year?
The public is being asked by the Palmyra Chamber of Commerce to submit nominations for the awards presented during the organizations annual banquet in January.
To assist the public, nominating criteria and guidelines are available on our website, showmepalmyra.com.
Nominations for Educator of the Year may be for any individual who positively guides youth or trains others.
Send nominations to the Palmyra Chamber via email at director@showmepalmyra.com or to P.O. Box 446, Palmyra, MO 63461. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 5.
Recipients will be announced at the Palmyra Chamber’s Annual Banquet, Jan. 11, 2024.
Last year’s Citizen of the Year was Heather McChristian. Amanda Haeberlin, agriculture educator at Palmyra High School, was honored as Educator of the Year. Johnathan Trenkamp was the youngest ever to receive a Chamber Annual Award as Volunteer of the Year.
As in the past, the Palmyra Chamber Board of Directors will select the recipients for the Business Hall of Fame and the Paintbrush Award.
