The Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society will hold their second meeting of the year on Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m., at Bethel Feast Hall, 127 North Main St., Bethel, MO.
A program will be given about the Historic Bethel German Colony. Bethel was founded in 1844 as a communal colony by Wilhelm Keil and his German-American followers.
After the program Donna Lawson, president of the Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society, will conduct the business meeting. For year 2025 the other Officers are: Nancy Tiemann, Vice-President; Travelle Whitaker, Secretary; Jim O’Bryan,Treasurer.
The Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society serves 14 counties in northeast Missouri and the quarterly meetings are scheduled at various locations to make it possible for the outlying members to attend. A 33-page quarterly is published each April, June, August and October and is dedicated to the collection of genealogy materials, both published andunpublished.
