Palmyra Firefighter Sets Two Missouri Records in Regional Competition

Luke Myers, a volunteer Palmyra Firefighter, competed in the Firefighter Challenge Midwest Region Classics in Valparaiso, Indiana, on July 9th. While he did not make it to the finals, he came home as a DOUBLE State Record Holder.

“I’m proud to represent Missouri against some of the best firefighters from across the country,” Myers said, “and even prouder to represent Palmyra, the Palmyra Fire Protection District, and be one of the few volunteer firefighters competing at this level.”

Myers earned the Missouri State Record for the Overall Male competitor with a time of 3:04.48 competing in the individual event. He also earned the Missouri State Record for the Division 3 Under 40 Male.
