HAPPY 4th OF JULY to all of my followers. Have a very safe and happy day.
I as I sit here typing this column, we are getting some much-needed rain. Thunder is rolling and the rain is falling nicely. Hopefully it will last all day like this. The past several days it has been very hot and humid, but Summer is here and we really can’t expect anything different. Stay cool and hydrated if you have to be out in the hot temps.
Continue to pray for my Aunt Judy Million, she fell again on Saturday morning. She is hurting more in pain. Hopefully this will be short lived and she will be back to feeling better very soon.
All prayer warriors please pray for a 7-year-old little girl and her family, who attends Mt Olivet Church, in your prayers. She is in Children’s Hospital in St Louis undergoing some tests on her lower back, hips and femur bones.
For all of you who remembered Rev. Carol Blackwell who preached at Mt Olivet Church in the mid to late ’90’s, she passed away recently. Carol was a Retired Elder in the SE District. Notes of sympathy may be sent to her brother Larry Blackwell, 8607 N 162nd E Ave, Owasso, OK 74055.
Mike and Sue Haddix hosted a small anniversary supper for Amanda and Jeremy Griesbaum on Saturday night Uncle Glenn and Aunt Martha Griesbaum, Aunt Donna Reid, who made a anniversary cake, and me were in attendance. It was a very nice evening with family.
It was great to see Shelley Lewis able to attend church service on Sunday after having her knee replacement done a few weeks back. Shelley is doing better every day; she goes to therapy 3 times a week and is able to drive short distances. Shelley’s dad Virgil Clow was a patient overnight in HRH due to some issues with his heart. If all went well he was going to be able to return home on Sunday June 29. Please pray for all of them.
