PHS girls golf team heads into district play this week
The PHS girls golf team went into this week’s district tournament on the strength of a first-place finish at a quad match at Norwoods in Hannibal last Monday.
Mallory Comstock shot an 88 to place third and lead her team to a 413 to beat Centralia, 424, Sedalia Smith-Cotton, 442, and Hannibal, 466.
Also scoring for Palmyra were Kylie Begley, 106, Maddie Jawad, 109, Mallory Sublette, 110, and Taytum Parsons, 114.
The Lady Panthers will compete in the Class 1, District 1 Tournament Wednesday, at the LA Nickell Golf Course in Columbia.
Also competing are California, Centralia, Crocker, Dixon, Duchesne, Harrisburg, Lutheran South, Lutheran St. Charles, New Bloomfield, Paris, Senath-Hornersville, South Callaway and Villa Duchesne.
