Panthers get dominated by Troy, 66-35
The PHS varsity boys basketball team struggled in a 66-35 loss at Troy-Buchanan Thursday.
The Panthers (3-2) were originally supposed to play a rescheduled game at Mark Twain, but it had to be postponed again due to COVID-19 issues.
Palmyra was able to get a pick-up game scheduled with the Class 6 Trojans instead.
The Panthers were held to single digit scoring in the first three quarters, while Troy built a 41-17 halftime lead.
Scoring for Palmyra were Brayden Shannon, 10, Abe Haerr, six, Laydin Lochman, four, Quade Plunkett, four, Aaron Stamper, four, Alex Loman, three, Bennett Stice, two, Bear Bock, two.
The Panthers were also scheduled to go to Louisiana Monday, Dec. 21. Results were not available for this issue.
The Panthers now go on holiday break until Jan. 5 when they open Highland Tournament action at 6 p.m. against Scotland County.
