The PHS boys track and field team finished fourth at the Clarence Cannon Conference meet in Kahoka last Tuesday.
The Panthers finished in the top three in eight events and scored 100 points to finish behind Centralia (178), Monroe City (140) and Highland (105.5) but ahead of Macon (64.5), South Shelby (62.5), Brookfield (51.5) and Clark County (30).
Scoring points for Palmyra by finishing in the top eight were:
Abe Haerr, first place in the 800 meters at 2:05.40 and second place in the high jump at 1.90 meters;
Weston King, first place in the discus at 48.65 meters and second place in the shot put at 13.47 meters;
Hayes Miller, first place in the 400 meters at 51.78; third place in the 100 meters at 11.21; and fourth place in the 200 meters at 23.49;
Carson Hicks, third place in the high jump at 1.82 meters; and eighth place in the 400 meters at 56.23;
Josh Lickfeld, third place in the discus at 38.59 meters and eighth place in the 100 meters at 12.31;
Caleb Juette, fifth place in the 800 meters at 2:18.51;
Elijah Singh, sixth place in the 110 meter hurdles at 21.93 and eighth place in the 300 meter hurdles at 53.69;
Connor Bross, sixth place in the 1,600 meters at 5:25.49;
the sixth-place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Bross, Daniel Reid, Talon Markley and Dakota Snyder at 10:40.26;
the seventh-place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Gideon Bogue, King, Snyder and Lickfeld at 49.51; and
the seventh place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Bogue, Snyder, Noah Getz and Hicks at 1:46.27.
