The PHS boys varsity golf team went into this week’s district tournament on the strength of, yet, another tournament victory.
The Panthers out-played six other teams during the South Shelby Invitational played on the Shelbina Lakeside Golf Course Wednesday.
Palmyra carded a 331 to edge the host team by three strokes. Also competing were Milan (359), Highland (366), Macon (386) and Monroe City (426).
Palmyra’s Brady Shively took medalist honors with a 78, while South Shelby’s Casey Glover was runner-up, one stroke back.
Also playing for Palmyra were Laydin Lochman (83), Jacob Webster (85), Elijah Edwards (85) and Patrick Bailey (87).
