The PHS varsity girls tennis team prepared for districts with just one match last week.
The varsity squad lost at Quincy Notre Dame, 7-2, last Tuesday in the last dual of the regular season.
Maura Gottman was the only one to win a singles match, 8-6, over Evie Schultz.

Members of the PHS junior varsity girls tennis team are all smiles after winning the Mexico JV Tournament Friday.
Molly Gottman and Jaynee Durst won their doubles match, 8-6, over Schultz and Addi Zanger.
The varsity squad was scheduled to compete in individual districts Saturday, but it was postponed by rain to Monday.
Results were not available in time for this edition.
Meanwhile, the junior varsity squad capped its season off with a first-place finish at the Mexico Junior Varsity Tournament Friday.
The No. 1 doubles team, rotating between Hadlie Kroeger, Emmalee Drebes and Ashley Bode, took first place, beating Moberly, 10-6, Mexico, 10-4, and North Point, 10-2
The No. 2 doubles team, rotating between Marina Meyer, Ava Browning and Maggie Keim, took, second place, beating Mexico, 10-0, and North Point, 10-5, while falling to Moberly, 8-10.
The No. 3 doubles team, rotating between Elizabeth Salo, Taytum White and Rilee Shrum, took second place, beating Moberly, 10-7, and North Point, 10-3, but losing to Mexico in a tiebreaker, 2-7.
The No. 4 doubles team, rotating between Natalie Bartz, Kenzie Bollin and Laura Noland, took first place, beating Moberly, 10-3, Mexico, 10-0, and North Point, 10-2.
The No. 5 doubles team, rotating between Jaymee Brocksmith, Devyn Spratt and Avery Compton, took first place, beating Mexico, 10-3, Moberly, 10-3, and North Point, 10-4
The No. 6 doubles team, rotating between Ruby Comstock, Ashlyn Akerson and Lakeyn Smith, took first place, beating Mexico, 10-1, Mexico, 11-9, and North Point, 10-3.
The JV squad (10-1-1) finished the regular season with their only defeat of the season, 8-6, at Quincy High School Wednesday.
Winning singles matches were Natalie Bartz, 8-2; Laura Noland, 8-3; Devyn Spratt, 9-7; and Avery Compton, 8-3.
Ashlyn Akerson and Taytum White won their doubles match 8-2.
The JV squad earned its final dual victory, 5-3, over QND Tuesday.
Winning singles matches were: Ashley Bode, 8-3; Marina Meyer, 8-2 Ava Browning, 8-8, 7-3 tiebracker; and Maggie Keim, 8-0.
Rilee Shrum and Natalie Bartz won their doubles match, 8-2.
