PHS girls seeded third, boys fourth in Highland Tournament

The PHS girls basketball team drew the third seed in the Highland Tournament Jan. 3-8, while the boys are seeded fourth.
The Lady Panthers will begin tournament play at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, against sixth-seeded Clark County.
The winner will advance to the semifinals and take on the winner of Monday’s quarterfinal between second-seeded Kirksville and seventh-seeded Highland at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5.
The other two girls quarterfinals Monday will have top seeded Macon playing eighth-seeded Knox County and fourth-seeded Scotland County playing fifth-seeded Canton.
The girls third place game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, and the championship is at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8.
The Panthers will open tournament play at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4 against fifth-seeded Knox County.
The winner will advance to the semifinals and play the winner of Tuesday’s quarterfinal between top-seeded Kirksville and eighth-seeded Canton at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6.
The other two boys quarterfinals Jan. 4 have second-seeded Macon playing seventh-seeded Clark County and third-seeded Highland taking on sixth-seeded Scotland County.
The boys third-place game is set for 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, and the championship game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8.
