The PHS varsity boys basketball team lost to Louisiana for the second time this season, this time at home, 62-43, last Monday.

Palmyra’s Mason Roberts drives to the basket against Louisiana last Monday.
The Bulldogs scored the first 11 points in the game, but the Panthers rallied to out-score Louisiana, 14-9, the rest of the first quarter.

Palmyra’s Bear Bock is fouled while taking a shot against Louisiana.
However, the Panthers (4-5) could not maintain the momentum and were out-scored 42-29 the rest of the way.
The Panthers, who have lost four of their last five games, also fell to Louisiana, 58-40, in the third-place game of the Monroe City Tournament Dec. 10.
Scoring for Palmyra Monday were Alex Loman, 11, Bear Bock, eight, Tyler Banta, eight, Laydin Lochman, four, Carson Hicks, four, Brayden Shannon, three, Mason Roberts, three, and Jimmy Scott, two.
The Panthers are back in action Tuesday, Jan. 4, against Knox County in the quarterfinals of the Highland Tournament.
